Security Information for Linksys WAG54GS

The WAG54GS includes advanced firewall security. This includes:
  • Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) – SPI is an advanced firewall that will prevent someone from outside of your network from requesting your personal information
  • Content Filtering
  • Single Session VPN (Virtual Private Network) Pass-through
  • NAT – NAT hides your wireless network from the outside world
  • 128-bit WEP Encryption – WEP means Wired Equivalent Privacy. This is for encrypting data that is sent over the network. Data is encrypted before it is transmitted and decrypted when it is received that the other end. If it is intercepted during transmission, it is still encrypted and therefore can not be read by the hacker.
